Preparation continuing: Dental training

Both the Pheriche and Manang HRA teams visited the CIWEC hospital in Kathmandu today to get a lesson in remote dentistry.  As the only medical staff in our respective areas we may have to extend our normal scope of practice to provide care for those unable or unwilling to travel elsewhere. Fortunately we are able to access dental telehealth advice via our CIWEC contact.

Kathmandu time: friends old and new

We're in Thamel, Kathmandu again - for the fifth time now. It's familiar in mostly good ways and it's great to see that a few of the businesses we've known and loved in previous trips have survived COVID.  This is one of our favourite coffee shops and one of the Nepali doctors we know from the DiMM course we did here. We've also caught up with guide friends from the mountain biking and mountaineering scene here. And the friends new: our colleagues for the season should be arriving today so excited to be meeting them at last.
